Product Director

The job in a nutshell

The Product Director will drive the vision and strategy for a suite of products and deliver outstanding products to our users across our AutoSave business. You will work closely with the Tech, Commercial and Marketing teams, synthesising their input into a high-impact Product Roadmap, communicating progress and changes. You will lead the prioritisation process providing a rational and transparent method for resolving priorities within the team.

You will demonstrate both quantitative and qualitative abilities to develop new and innovative products. You will be a leader and encourage members of your team, helping them to deliver impact.

You will be hands-on throughout every step: product ideation, specification and design, and ultimately delivery and in market product management. You will demonstrate skills across business case development, user experience design, and have a high degree of technical knowledge.

This role will enable you the opportunity to own new product discovery and drive innovative solutions that make the mundane and complicated nature of household bills simpler, easier and more exciting for our customers.

Skills and experience you’ll need to have

With a relevant degree or equivalent experience, you will also have extensive experience running a leading consumer facing product.. As a full stack Product professional you will be able to demonstrate how you have launched innovative products from ground up, releasing them to market as well as the ability to grow the existing product suite.

In this role you will:

  • Set the vision, strategy, and roadmap for 3x+ growth over the next 18-24 months, and drive across every significant function in the company
  • Evaluate organic growth opportunities; make build or buy decisions by product vertical and and market segment
  • Develop new business models anchored in your product vision, and drive your product as a program to achieve revenue targets

As a minimum you will have experience of:

  • Full software development lifecycle experience
  • Deep working knowledge of Agile Methodologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with the full product stack; Product Specs, Delivering Projects, Wireframes, UI/UX, A/B tests and defining Product Rollout Strategies
  • Experience with A/B and multi-variate testing and customer research
  • Deep experience with analytics inc conversion and engagement

What you’ll be responsible for

This role will require you to drive and contribute to the Product Strategy ensuring alignment across a variation of product verticals and technical platforms within AutoSave and drive new product innovation. You will maintain the Product Roadmaps across multiple teams and squads.

You will enjoy iterative product delivery and be accountable for performance by committing to excellence in delivery; ensuring the quality of all products and improving standards - always being innovative and adopting best practices.

You will support the growth of the AutoSave Product Team, actively working with the Chief Product Officer to develop a Product Team passionate about innovation, design and an excellent customer experience.

Who you’ll be working with

  • Taking feedback from the squad, priorities from Marketing and Commercial and being conscious of the roadmap, you will contribute to the overall prioritisation of products
  • You will have the technical background to work closely with our engineering team
  • You will be best friends with Designers and build beautiful products that users love
