As an API Engineer, you will be developing API based platforms and be a key driver in the success of the GoCo Group providing savings to millions of our customers!


We are looking for someone with a strong technical mind with confirmed experience of working in a high scale, fast paced, innovative technical environment.


Within this role you’ll have the opportunity to work with modern technologies such as Terraform, Jenkins and AWS and will be a specialist in C# and Python to write sophisticated and defensive code!

Skills and experience you’ll need to have

  • C# and Python.
  • Experience in BDD and TDD.
  • Comprehensive validated understanding of common Amazon Web Services such as AWS Lambda, Cognito, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, Serverless, SSM and Route53.
  • Experience in API integration with third parties.
  • Experience using tools like PyCharm, Chalice framework, Terraform, Jenkins, Visual Studio Code.
  • Familiar with security protocols and encryption technologies.
  • Familiar with typical enterprise architecture tools and standards such as UML.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Writing code using best in engineering practices.
  • Key player in all agile development principles and practices.
  • Supplying code to key components and following the architecture and strategy direction.
  • Understanding and making use of a broad selection of AWS and best-of-breed third-party services.
  • Testing new tools and technologies and identifying standard methodologies.
  • Developing new components, libraries and services to support the delivery of new products.
  • Collaborating with other specialists for code reviews.
  • Producing user documentation, wikis and release notes where required to support all stages of the software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborating with technical and product members within a squad.

  • Working closely with Test Engineers to craft, build and test effective applications.
  • Wider Tech teams to work towards one vision.
  • Product Managers to help shape backlogs and deliver timely roadmap features.
