The job in a nutshell

GoCompare are looking for a PPC Executive to join our Performance Marketing team for an initial 6 months fixed term contract. 

Are you interested in undertaking a role that will enable you the autonomy to deliver a variety of display, search and social campaigns for one of our leading insurance products? Are you keen to gain experience in developing new social display adverts that will drive tangible return on investment and make a real business impact?

Within this role you will be responsible for owning you own PPC account and you will be expected to drive reporting and insights as well as owning a PPC product launch that diversifies your skills outside of search alone.

You will have a proven experience in display, search and social and be well versed in platforms such as google ads and Facebook from a PPC perspective.

You will manage the relationships with agencies and drive value from internal relationships to achieve conversion, attribution and revenue to the GoCompare business.

You legacy in this role will be to leave behind a better established display blueprint that can be utilised across further product lines and to ensure GoCompare are able to deliver effective social integration to drive increase in customer conversion.

Skills and experience you’ll need to have

  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office tools – specifically Excel.
  • Relevant degree and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Holds or working towards Google Ads Certification, Bing Ads Accreditation.
  • Experience of paid social and display advertising.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify and act on trends in data.
  • Problem solving experience.
  • Understanding of audience targeting and segmentation.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Management of paid search campaigns – working to deliver on volume and ROI targets
  • Develops and optimises paid social & display campaigns.
  • Analyses and reviews campaign performance to improve ROI.
  • Working with internal design and product teams to deliver integrated campaigns
  • Implements tests for web pages and Ad copy to improve conversion rates and ROI.
  • Manages spend across multiple platforms to deliver volume targets within budget.
  • Assists in the communication of PPC campaign performance to the wider business.
  • Reporting on industry trends and developments for proactive strategies.

Who you’ll be working with

  • External partners including Google, Bing, Facebook and Search Ads 360 account managers - to keep up-to-date with developments, trends in the PPC marketplace and ensure a competitive edge for all campaigns.
  • Finance – report and reconcile campaign performance against budget and ROI targets.
  • Insight team- to ensure performance targets are being hit and reported accurately.
  • Brand team – delivering integrated campaigns in line with brand guidelines
  • Product team – optimising top of funnel conversion rates.
