B2B Paralegal

The job in a nutshell

GoCo Group are looking for an experienced Paralegal ideally with experience in an in-house B2B environment, to drive commercial contract negotiation and growth for a tech-start up division within our business.

As part of a wider legal team, this role will involve working directly with senior stakeholders for your business area and you will act as a sole point of contact for any legal support regarding new partner relationships, drafting and reviewing B2B contracts, software licensing agreements and provide legal advice, research and due diligence to the Platform Services team.

The candidate will ideally have experience in law relating to Tech or Data, however, an emphasis on working within a smaller in-house B2B legal team and being able to evidence self sufficiency as a key point of contact for legal advice is even more important.

Skills and experience you’ll need to have

You will have experience working within a legal environment and within a fast paced in-house team. 

You will hold a post grad qualification in law and be well versed in B2B commercials and legal advisory.
The successful candidate will be able to evidence being a self-starter and working directly with commercial teams and stakeholders to drive the legal agenda.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Based in London office and supported by legal team in Newport, assists in the drafting, review and negotiation of B2B contracts including non-disclosure agreements, partner contracts, affiliate agreements, basic supply of services agreements and consultancy agreements.
  • Assists in legal research and provision of legal advice and training including specifically to the Platform Services team.
  • Assists in the management of the Group’s registered trade mark portfolio and on other brand protection matters.
  • Assists on all legal aspects of due diligence concerning the onboarding of new partners, affiliates and suppliers.
  • Assists in the management of contracts (including by establishing and maintaining a database of completed contracts, together with summary of agreed key commercial terms).
  • Champions continuing professional development and assists in management of the team’s training and know how.
