Group Contract Manager

GoCo Group are seeking a Group Contract Manager to establish and run our contracts function to have a handle on and review current contracts and conduct RFP’s to ensure we get the best value for money! This is a pivotal role within the Group’s governance function where you will oversee the development of a new procurement framework and overhaul the contracts process!

Skills and experience you’ll need to have

You’ll need to be familiar with contracts and able to analyse these optimally in terms of auto-renewal and material clauses. As well as this you will have:

  • Knowledge of basic contract law
  • Excellent analytical and Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Proven negotiation and problem solving skills
  • Commercial awareness
  • Experience of working in a regulated environment

What you’ll be responsible for

Working as part of the Group function, you will support the contracts process for all areas of the business and have high engagement with a number of key stakeholders. You’ll be responsible for establishing a functioning contracts database in order to identify key aspects such as auto-renewals, termination dates, costs and material clauses.

  • Monitoring and reporting on compliance by the business with Group procurement and contract management policies and providing training to address any gaps
  • Overseeing supplier due diligence
  • Developing tender strategies and leading all aspects of the RFP and contract award process for key commercial agreements
  • Leading the full contract life cycle of key commercial agreements, including by working with business stakeholders to lead contract negotiation, renewal and/or termination
  • Record keeping for all contract related correspondence and documentation
  • Assisting in the monitoring and regular reporting of supplier performance
  • Working with the Legal team to provide internal and external contract related issue resolution
  • Identifying and delivering opportunities for cost savings and cost avoidance
