Customer Sales Advisor

The job in a nutshell

Thousands of customers use our services every day to switch to the best energy deals saving them both time and money. As a Sales Advisor, you will be helping people on this journey, providing an outstanding service to customers and supporting them through the online experience.

As part of the sales team, you will provide crucial support to the development and growth of the GoCo Group and ensure that our customers are being provided with products that match their needs.

This is a predominantly inbound role although there may, at times, be a requirement for contacting our customers directly who were unable to complete their online journey.

Skills and experience you’ll need to have

Ideally, you will have had experience in a sales-through-service environment utilising inbound & outbound customer contact centre methods. Alongside this the following attributes are desirable;

  • Experience in meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Understanding of sales process and dynamics
  • A commitment to excellent customer service
  • Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities and handle time effectively

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Handling large amounts of calls in a timely manner
  • Following of call centre “scripts”
  • Identify customers individual needs, to ensure the sale of products are suitable for individual customers and identify vulnerability adapting approach to selling where relevant.
  • Accurate record-keeping of sales and conversations in line with company policy
  • Meeting of personal/team qualitative and quantitative targets.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of products and services offered by the company and its business partners.

Who you’ll be working with

  • Quality Assurance – to ensure knowledge, training and compliance standards are met.
  • Team Manager – to flag issues/escalate where appropriate.
