A Senior member in a small team will mean you’ll be required to provide expert technical advice to the business and its partners, acting as the first contact point. You will protect our customers and partners through the delivery of best in class award winning fraud service.

To be successful in this role you will need to be analytically minded and a strong data person who can quickly analyse and identify trends and patterns in mountains of data. The role is within Fraud, however, this skill can be taught. You will just need the ability to be reactive with implementing new/revised fraud controls when identifying issues such as tweaking existing rules or developing new ones, working with affected partners and producing MI and reporting for senior management.

Skills and experience you’ll need to have

  • Previous experience of fraud prevention systems and techniques, fraud investigation and management expertise
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Understanding and awareness of fraud risk management compliance, reporting obligations and fraud typologies.
  • Understanding and awareness of policy, procedure and key parameters of decision factors in reducing fraud risk effectively.
  • Ability to perform risk assessments and reporting analysis.
  • Well versed in fraud analytics and ability to produce effective MI.
  • Strong Microsoft Reporting Skills (SQL Service Reporting Services, SAS, Excel), and proven track record of experience with MI reporting and analysis.
  • Ability to manage own workload and proactively flag any conflicts.
  • Excellent data and statistical analysis skills, with the ability to adopt a logical approach to solving problems

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Achieve an innovative approach to fraud analysis which drives the business forward in detecting new fraud patterns
  • Performs routine based monitoring and analysis, investigating and reporting findings where necessary and producing management information.
  • Monitors KPIs and produces regular reports to key stakeholders with focus on delivery with accuracy and timeliness, working closely with the panel of partners to support with detection and preventative measures.
  • Assists with the management and optimisation of the fraud prevention systems and associated tools
  • Ensures compliance with reporting requirements, performing due diligence and responding to 3rd party requests within the agreed SLAs.
  • Works closely with the Partner Development Team to ensure GoCompare’s panel of relationships receive effective fraud prevention, detection and reporting within the agreed SLAs.
  • Works with the business on specific projects to assess and advise associated risks and, on an ad-hoc basis to deal with any queries in relation to fraud matters.
  • Responds effectively and efficiently to standard and complex data intelligence ad-hoc requests for analysis and insight.

Who you’ll be working with

  • Partner Development Team & Partners to ensure minimum exposure of fraud converting through GoCompare and advising on ad-hoc fraud related matters.
  • Business Stakeholders – support business to understand, digest and effectively utilise the intelligence and stats to provide a high level view of fraud vs business performance.
  • Collaborative working with Information Security, Compliance, Legal and Assurance Teams to ensure the business is compliance with regulation, providing a complete view on the risks the business is faced with ensuring GoCompare, it’s 3rd party relationships and customers are protected.
