Finance Business Partner

The job in a nutshell

Interviews will take place for this role early January 2020 and applications will be reviewed up until this point. 

Due to continued growth of the GoCo Group, we are looking for a Junior Finance Business Partner to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team to ensure we are providing the level of support and challenge that is required to continue this journey.

Part of Group Finance and reporting into the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will be involved in assisting with budgeting, quarterly forecasting and in-depth analysis of both income streams and cost base. You will also assist in the delivery of accurate weekly/monthly management reports supported by meaningful analysis. You will work closely with the business to drive initiatives/projects as and when required. 

Skills and experience you’ll need to have

Ideally you will have experience of working with a variety of internal stakeholders to form and deliver budgets, forecasts and analytics of income/costs. It would also be beneficial to have had exposure to the following;

  • Financial Modelling
  • Preparing budgets and forecasts.
  • Experience of business partnering and appropriate challenge.
  • Good Microsoft Excel skills e.g. lookups/pivots etc.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced, commercially focused role.

What you’ll be responsible for

There is a high degree of accountability to the role allowing you the freedom and autonomy to deliver the following;

  • Preparation of annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts.
  • Co-ordinate and produce accurate and timely forecasting and investigation.
  • Proactively interpret and explain current performance against internal and external benchmarks, clearly articulating financial information to the business.
  • Influence key business decisions through the provision of appropriate business modelling.
  • Assist in the production of financial models, financial reports and competitor analysis.
  • Identify, review and develop internal processes for efficiencies.
