B2B Account Manager

The job in a nutshell

GoCo Group are looking for an experienced Account Manager ideally with experience in the Energy industry, to drive B2B partner relationships and develop our energy product offering in line with client needs. 

You will have strong relationship management skills and be well versed with negotiating commercial outputs whilst stabilising existing relationships to ensure future success.

You will be someone who has an appreciation and proven use for commercial Data and its utilisation in driving value with partners. The landscape will include access to both visualisation tools and bespoke excel based systems that you will need to turn into a tangible value add for our commercial clients. In addition to this you will be process driven and the need to be highly organised in documenting and prioritising workload.

The clients you will work with include large and medium sized UK energy providers and a knowledge of the energy industry will ideally facilitate better end to end account management and provide you the autonomy to transform accounts into new and mutually beneficial ways of working. 

Your success will be measured across a number of factors, including retention of suppliers and additional services taken and will have the ability to input into how this achieved and structured. 

Skills and experience you’ll need to have

  • Significant experience of the Energy industry and preferably also telecoms.
  • Experience selling API products for B2B2C.
  • Strong communication skills to build long-term relationships.
  • Ability to negotiate commercial deals.
  • Ability to interpret customer needs and new product opportunities.
  • Advanced analytical skills with ability to model out opportunities.
  • Experience using CRM systems.
  • Highly organised.

  • Actively manages relationships with key accounts.
  • Owns business development plan for each account.
  • Seeks out new partnerships with consultative customer-focused sales approach.
  • Uncovers new product or service needs and drives sales to conclusion.
  • Discovers opportunity in new market segments.
  • Provides commercial modelling and contract negotiation.
  • Maintains knowledge of landscape including competitor activity and strategic opportunities.
