We have an opportunity for an experienced automation tester to work within our highly skilled engineering delivery squads. You will become an influential team member in driving forward quality standards and strategy for more efficient automation of testing practices.
You will be involved in writing the group testing strategy and have the authority to block deliveries that don't meet test quality standards. This opportunity will allow you to implement end to end test life cycles for new automation tools within GoCo Group and take proven proof of concept designs into production. Utilising a variation of automation tools including Selenium (NightWatch), Postman, Jest and Puppeteer, you will drive a coordinated approach to testing across group functions.
Working within cross collaborative squads including engineering delivery and strategy, you will have strong negotiation skills and be able to influence and guide the testing process to take colleagues on a journey towards better test automation.
You will have relevant work experience in the use of automation testing tools and in delivering test analysis and automation in challenging commercial environments using tools such as Postman, Selenium, Jest or Puppeteer.
You will have hands on experience using ALM tools such as TFS, Jire or VSTS and a good working knowledge of software development life cycle practices inclusive of Agile, continuous integration and delivery and DEVOPS.
You will be able to apply working knowledge of test methodologies, processes and be familiar with working in a coherent cross-technology team. As well as being able to translate test strategy into delivery methods, you will still have a hands on capability in at least two modern testing practices including automation and NFT or risk-based approaches
