Product Owner (London)

The job in a nutshell

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Product Owner to join the GoCo Group, working as part of MVC at a time where we are going through a transformation and launching some key new initiatives into the market. We’re seeking a Product specialist who is comfortable with the full product lifecycle to join the team based in the heart of SoHo.

Working closely with the Product Manager and in collaboration with key business stakeholders, you will take ownership of the product backlog. You will understand the product vision and work with the engineering team and SCRUM master to prioritise and deliver key product enhancements that drive value for the business.

Skills and experience you’ll need to have

Ideally, you will have experience working with a B2C e-commerce platform and be comfortable with back end systems and engineering principles. You will also have;

  • Experience with and an appreciation for Agile (SCRUM) development practices and the relevant tools such as Jira, Confluence, Trello, etc
  • Deep experience with analytics (especially Google Analytics) including conversion and engagement rates
  • Executive presence and strong storytelling skills
  • Full product development lifecycle experience
  • Experience with A/B and multi-variate testing and customer research

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Partnering with a variety of internal stakeholders to deliver the product backlog
  • Constructing high-quality stories to achieve desired customer and business outcomes
  • Creates, defines and organises clear epics, features and user stories
  • Owns the backlog and interfaces closely with Scrum master, engineers, testers and designers to ensure robust grooming and prioritisation
  • Support the Product Manager to monitor product health and customer research feedback to continually optimise the product through experimentation.
  • Finds opportunities to cut wastage and sequence work to drive efficient product delivery
  • Has deep knowledge about the organisation’s technology systems and how they come together to deliver the customer benefit
  • Leverages data to make smart decisions on product design and prioritisation
  • Ensures the timely completion of discovery work and manages the transition from discovery to delivery
  • Provides reports to the Product Manager and Business on key product milestones
