Tech Governance Analyst

Are you a versatile individual who has had exposure working with change management? Do you want to work in a reciprocal team carrying out governance in a rapidly changing and complex Tech environment?

GoCo group has an exciting new opportunity for a Technical Governance Analyst to handle and coordinate IT change, report processes to ensure changes as well as negotiating contracts with suppliers to ensure the business is efficient. As a tech business who is continually growing, you would be responsible for looking after software licensing and supplier management incorporated in different business areas. You will have a technical understanding of web development methodologies to support new releases within the GoCo group.

You will be able to effectively assess project risks and become the key point of contact for supporting day to day operations for web releases and the governance team. It is essential that the business remains compliant within its Tech processes and delivery of projects. This role requires superb communication and interpersonal skills to build and handle professional and personable relationships internal and external to the business.

Skills and experience you’ll need to have

  • ITIL V3 Foundation qualification as a minimum
  • IT Change Management experience.
  • Understanding of ITIL service support principles including exposure to a service-orientated environment.
  • Stakeholder management experience and good interpersonal skills to enable effective communication with IT and business partners at various levels and work effectively with cross functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing, complex environment.
  • IT Asset Management / software licensing experience and understanding preferable. 

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Administration of the change management process, ensuring changes are successfully moved through the lifecycle.
  • Supports the Senior Tech Governance Analyst in chairing CAB / RAB meetings.
  • Coordinates major website builds with project, business and IT stakeholders, supporting the release management process for deployment to live environments.
  • Conducts post implementation reviews.
  • Coordinates problem investigations and ensuring known errors are handled effectively throughout their lifecycle and recorded accurately
  • Supports the Head of Tech Governance in the implementation, measuring and monitoring of other IT Governance controls such as Asset and Configuration, Supplier and Service Catalogue management, as well as any other relevant Service Transition processes
  • Leads discussions to ensure changes to IT assets are in line with strategic plans with all change process stakeholders, including Exec, Senior Leadership Team and the general workforce.

Who you’ll be working with

  • Liaises with 3rd party suppliers as required.
  • Works closely with all members of the 1Tech department to ensure operational changes/releases are progressed accordingly.
