We have an opportunity to work in an innovative and growing technology team supporting multiple brands within the Goco Group. We’re looking for a skilled self-starter to help shape the landscape of our data, processes and architecture to support a fast-growing roadmap in Marketing Automation.

You will become a key part of this area, bringing innovative ideas to life and be integral to how we build and use our data to help us contact customers at the best moment, with the best message in the best place. This role will interact with Market leading technologies and support a growing function with its technology projects and work you're doing.

The role itself:

The Marketing Automation team is technology driven function within the business that meets the needs of its CRM counterparts in each of the brands and fulfils a developing and innovative roadmap to build a dynamic, personalised and automated strategy across multiple channels and touchpoints with the customer.

The role will be placed in a small but fast-growing team, focusing on delivering data solutions - skills in SQL and API integrations are critical to automate and architect a robust, compliant and exciting customer journey for each of the brands involved.

Skills and experience you’ll need to have

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.
  • Training and work experience of some of: C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax, JQuery, XML, HTML, XSLT, SQL Server, T-SQL, TFS.
  • Trained in and work experience of at least 2 of the following: C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax, JQuery, XML, HTML, XSLT, SQL Server, T-SQL, TFS.
  • Experience of working within a commercial/enterprise software engineering environment and specifically: Building database structures and building and connecting to API structures
  • A demonstrable understanding of customer relationship management (CRM) and web-based channels
  • Desirable – Working knowledge and experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Supports the implementation of campaign rules and logic, any modelling requirements and data feeds into the relevant CRM Platforms.
  • Develops and delivers the engineering capability across multiple campaigns, channels and product areas to allow for campaign optimisation and an effective customer journey.
  • Develops and delivers software applications in line with defined process and policy (e.g. peer review, coding standard and deployment process).
  • Practices delivery of high quality code in primary OO or functional programming language.
  • Produces clear and concise documentation to support software applications.
  • Troubleshoots and supports existing IT application solutions to resolve issues and provide remedies.
  • Collaborates in planning and delivering software demonstrations to assist in the progress and handover of project and BAU work.
  • Practices the continuous evolution of an agile environment based on the agile manifesto and the 12 guiding principles. 

Who you’ll be working with

  • Liaises with 3rd party partners to monitor and support relevant platforms and their performance.
  • Ensures use and access to data is compliant, upheld to GDPR standards and that the relevant platforms are functioning at their optimum level.
  • Works with wider Tech teams to ensure everyone works towards one vision.
  • Works with Marketing to deliver on their strategies within the platform.
