Executive Assistant

The job in a nutshell

Are you a Personal Assistant / Executive Assistant with the ability to work in a highly paced tech or start up environment? Would this perhaps be your second or third role as an Assistant to supporting senior leaders?

GoCompare are looking for a conscientious and delivery focused PA to support across our Exec and VP community and also cover some office management duties. You will have ideally gained recent experience within a tech or start up environment and be able to effectively support several leaders with strong work ethic and proactive approach.

Skills and experience you’ll need to have

  • Extensive experience in a similar role in a fast paced, dynamic or start-up organisation.
  • Demonstrable experience providing support to a high number of key stakeholders and managing the conflicting priorities this can create.  
  • Ability to quickly gain knowledge of the business to make appropriate decisions and act on them, with the minimum of supervision.
  • Excellent software skills including Microsoft Office and instant messaging tools.
  • Ability to demonstrate pro-activity, high levels of initiative, first class organisational skills and be able to priortise own workload to meet often-demanding deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
     

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Provides administrative support and extensive diary management to allocated Exec and VPs and their direct reports where required.
  • Book travel and accommodation for the above, ensuring costs are within pre-agreed limits.
  • High volume diary management including arranging meetings, booking meeting rooms, organising refreshments and greets clients.
  • Manages and administers expense submissions through the relevant company expenses system.
  • Liaise with a large number of external contacts in a timely and professional way;
  • Working autonomously, you will need to have the confidence to make decisions quickly whilst at the same time keeping all parties informed. 
  • Cover office duties such as, but not limited to, greeting visitors, meeting room set ups, stationary supplies, daily post, supporting Group departments such as People team with new starters arrangements and liaising with facilities on any building issues.

Internal: Executive Team; Vice Presidents and Senior Leaders plus all other business areas in both London and Newport
External: Third party business partners e.g. travel and hotels
