Business Development Analyst

The job in a nutshell

Are you experience with building internal and external business relationships with a keen eye for data and experience in effectively growing business opportunities to deliver new products that meet customer needs?

GoCompare Group are looking for an experienced Business Development Executive within our high performing partnerships team.

You will be responsible for monitoring the full funnel with regards to performance metrics across all of GoCompare's third party partnerships channels. You will be able to analyse core data sets with regards to customers, interactions, sales and revenue to make good judgements on the course of action required for partner relationships, whilst having a keen eye for detail to seek information not readily available that will enable tangible development opportunities.

You will have validated experience in driving cost per acquisition and revenue and the ability to handle partner negotiations through various means including face to face interaction. This also means you will have a knowledge of partner procurement and ability to evaluate profitable and effective partner relationships.

You will ideally have experience within a financial regulated industry and have a sound knowledge of money and utilities products across the GoCompare comparison website.

Skills and experience you’ll need to have

  • Previous relationship management/business development experience in online/digital/direct-to-consumer industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience of managing and working to agreements and contracted frameworks.
  • Excellent commercial acumen.
  • Strong negotiating skills.
  • Insurance or financial services experience advantageous (particularly life and protection).
  • Working knowledge of FCA and working in a regulated environment.
  • Expert knowledge of Excel.
  • Desirable to have knowledge of PowerBI or relevant dashboarding tool and SAS, SQL.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Maintains commercially fruitful relationships with protection partners and responds efficiently and effectively to all service requests.
  • Acts as the key contact for complaints or any issues relating to the onboarding process for all protection journeys.
  • Proactively addresses issues and opportunities to ensure that all customer experience and commercial goals are achieved.
  • Ensures all partners act in compliance with their contractual obligations as well as keeping up-to-date with any industry regulatory requirement changes.
  • Acts as the first contact for internal stakeholders on key business priorities such as partner onboarding, communications and any change process.
  • Conducts full funnel commercial analysis to identify opportunities or problems and make suitable recommendations and business cases.
  • Conducts product tests and analyses commercial performance and key business metrics.
  • Proactively prioritises product development roadmap to identify suitable BD opportunities.
  • Acts as the point of contact for BD and data teams to identify relevant commercial data to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
