Do you aspire to enter the world of digital Tech but feel the burden of paying back student loans too much for you? How about undertaking a fully funded Software Engineer Apprenticeship Degree courtesy of GoCompare?
We are excited to be offering an apprenticeship degree which is carried out over a 3 year period. This programme is carefully planned out to enable you to study at Swansea University alongside working at GoCompare; you will be expected to attend on-campus study days every Wednesday 1pm – 8pm (travel expenses paid) in this blended learning approach to a degree.
Throughout your degree you will work as part of our inspiring 1Tech department, putting to use the information you have learned through your studies and receive mentoring from our talented Engineers.
Everything at GoCompare is about making our services better for our customers and our Tech teams play a pivotal role in enabling this. Throughout the programme you will contribute towards our shared goal of saving people everywhere time and money, to help GoCompare become the insurance comparison site of choice.
**As part of the application process you will be required to complete an online assessment. We will be conducting Assessment Centres in our Newport office from week commencing 8th July and into August.**
We want to see a genuine interest in digital technology and ideally you will have some experience within a commercial/enterprise environment. It would be helpful (but not essential) if you had exposure to any of the following: C#, .Net, MVC/Core, Java Script or PHP but Java, Scala, Ruby, Python will also be considered.
Duties will vary across the duration of the course, but essentially you will work within our Tech environment. You will learn the fundamentals of working as a Software Engineer and support the delivery of software applications. You will also work with our skilled Test Engineers to design, build and test effective applications.
As a Software Engineer Apprentice, you will gain exposure across the whole Tech environment. At GoCompare we operate as cross-functional Squads so you will work with Digital Engineers, Product Managers and Marketing to support with the delivery of the roadmaps and product strategy. You will play a pivotal role within the Tech environment to help ensure we all work towards one vision.
We’re on a mission to help people everywhere save time and money – whether that’s on essential outgoings or on the things that they enjoy.
