The job in a nutshell

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development professional at what is a very exciting time for GoCo Group, to join our Energylinx team as Business Development Manager.

GoCo Group acquired Energylinx in 2018; a market-leading (B2B2C) energy comparison and providing switching capability services to over 200 affiliates, including some of the UK's best-known organisations such as Which?, Citizens Advice Bureau, and GoCompare. 

We have an exceptional opportunity to support the Head of Business Development in driving the business development activity across domestic and commercial operations of the Energylinx business to generate revenue, oversee the key account relationships and the commercial relationships with partners under the API and white label services we provide. 

We are looking for a candidate with experience in growing B2B sales through analysis and fact based business proposals across new products and partnerships. An entrepreneurial attitude is key as you will be working as part of a small and dynamic team managing a large portfolio of client services we provide. 

The role can be based in either our Alloa, Scotland or Newport offices.

Skills and experience you’ll need to have

•Experience of managing revenue and profit targets for a  commercial business

•Experience in growing high volume sales through analysis and fact based business proposals

•Ability to communicate and negotiate complex commercial relationships

•Knowledge of online/digital/direct-to-consumer industry

•Experience of engaging and influencing relevant stakeholders – both internally and externally

•Ability to coordinate individuals and form cross-functions teams focused on the same objective

•Ability to analyse and interpret trends and market drivers

•Working knowledge of a regulated environment (Ofgem or equivalent).

•Experience within the energy sector is beneficial.

What you’ll be responsible for

•Drives own sales pipeline to generate new revenue opportunities for the business.

•Manages 3rd party relationships to maximize the revenue and profit generated from them.

•Analyses existing performance metrics and creates a development pipeline to own and deliver upon.

•Grows sales through analysis and fact-based business proposals across new products and partnerships.

•Contributes to the development of the strategy for each 3rd party partner and ensures these are delivered.

•Creates joint business plans with partners based on understanding of partner needs, business model, strategies and customers.

•Supports in the (re-)negotiation of the commercial agreements with partners to ensure incremental benefits are delivered YoY.

•Senior Leaders – Develop strong working relationships to foster collaboration.

•MI Analyst – works closely with performance team to obtain supportive data to maximize opportunities for the sales pipeline and existing partnerships.
