PPC Marketing Executive / Senior PPC Executive

The job in a nutshell

Have you got exposure working on successful PPC campaigns? Do you want to work on large scale, big budget, even bigger brand campaigns with the ability to test and learn?

This role is will see you responsible for daily control and optimisation of the paid search campaigns across GoCompare Group, delivering against business targets and objectives.

Skills and experience you’ll need to have

You will be able to demonstrate how you have managed your own PPC campaigns, ideally having completed technical qualifications in areas such as Google and Bing (or similar).

We pride ourselves on supporting “test and learn” culture, if you have experience of A/B testing you will be able to put this to good use! Some coding experience (PPC Scripts) here would be helpful, but not essential.

You will have an analytical eye for detail, having spotted, responded to and reported on performance trends to maximise the return on investment, using Excel and Power BI to clearly and accurately display findings.

A wider understanding of marketing pillars and how they can feed into PPC campaign success is advantageous.

Ideally you will have exposure within an e-commerce environment.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Develops and optimises paid search campaigns aligned to each of the business’ core products
  • Initiate new campaigns by researching and investigating their potential and setting the structure and spend.
  • Analyses and reviews campaign performance to establish techniques that work.
  • Creates and tests web pages and Adcopy to improve conversion rates and return on investment.
  • Manages spend across all search platforms to deliver volume targets within budget.
  • Assists in the communication of PPC campaign performance to the wider business.

Who you’ll be working with

  • External partners including Google, Bing and Search Ads 360 account managers - to keep up-to-date with developments, trends in the PPC marketplace and ensure a competitive edge for PPC campaigns.
  • Finance – to reconcile campaign performance against budget and customer targets.
  • Commercial & Insight teams (inc. external third parties) - to ensure Pay-Per-Click data specifications are accurately reported.
