The job in a nutshell

GoCompare Group is in the midst of executing on its Mission to help people everywhere save time and money via its vision to bring Savings as a Service to people across the UK and beyond. This role will play a pivotal part of the Marketing roadmap; directly leading into this strategy.

You will define and execute the Media strategy across the Group by leading and managing the development and delivery of creative marketing broadcast campaigns in line with brand and creative strategy. 

The role will have responsibility across all Group brands; GoCompare – the household name for insurance comparison, MyVoucherCodes – the national voucher codes platform, EnergyLinx – the UK’s biggest B2B2C energy comparison provider and weFlip - the next generation in savings – auto-savings.

Skills and experience you’ll need to have

  • Prior management of multiple high profile e-commerce brands, with experience launching/repositioning new brands.
  • Undertaken significant transformation change with a focus on establishing market leading brands.
  • Has lead the development and execution of the brand and business strategy for profitable growth.
  • Has a track record of innovation and ambition.
  • Excellent people Leadership and growing teams.
  • Ability to identify and implement game plan to tackle market leading brands.
  • Managing and building teams across multiple brands and locations.
  • Sound understanding of FCA and ASA Code and other governance requirement with control processes.
  • Proven track record of success in senior marketing roles.

What you’ll be responsible for

This exciting role will require you to evaluate and develop marketing brand strategies for new and existing brands. As part of this you will;

  • Communicate the marketing plans across all business functions to ensure effective collaboration, building awareness and positioning for the Group brands.
  • Launch new brands and manages the demands post launch, ownership and management to promote uniformity, consistency of brand messaging and regulatory guidelines across the business.
  • Have responsibility for the creation of clear brand messages/USPs for marketing campaigns and their consistency of use across all channels.
  • Create and improve product/service proposition of existing brands providing key differentiation amongst the competitors.
  • Lead the creative development and delivery, overseeing the production of marketing communications through a broad range of channels with effective measurement and recommendations for improvement to time and budget.
  • Manage creative teams to deliver campaigns that are aligned to marketing and business strategy.
  • Play a key role as part of the Senior Leadership team, prioritizing the marketing leadership team on incremental improvements to the marketing team and engagement with the rest of the business.

Who you’ll be working with

  • Leads and manages Group Brand Team whilst engaging with the rest of the Marketing function.
  • Engages with the Strategy team to deliver market-leading customer demands.
  • Participates in Business Performance sessions to track performance against expectation.
  • Creative, Web, Compliance and Legal to ensure business priorities are aligned to create a consistent customer journey and that regulatory requirements are met.
  • External agencies & 3rd parties – to effectively onboard and lead external media and creative agencies.
