We have an exceptional opportunity to join an established and high performing team in the role of Senior Compliance Officer.  This role will allow you the opportunity to help shape the future success of our unique organisation by informing on and enabling business activity which supports the business objectives.

Skills and experience you’ll need to have

The successful candidate will have extensive experience and compliance knowledge within the general insurance sector with extensive knowledge of general insurance products and other financial products. You will have an understanding of FCA Handbooks, especially ICOBS, TCF, DPA, financial crime, consumer credit and complaints and have practical application of rules and regulations within a financial services organisation.

What you’ll be responsible for

Within this role you will play a key part in implementing Gocompare’s Compliance plan to ensure the company’s activities meet all regulatory requirements. As part of the role you will:

  • Provide a review, advice and approval function
  • Develop and maintain policies, processes, registers and MI reports to ensure the necessary aspects of regulatory compliance are adhered to and reported
  • Design and deliver regulatory training
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory compliance updates
  • Assist with due diligence and on-going compliance of partners
  • Interpret regulatory requirements and implements practical, compliant solutions
  • Provide subject area support to more junior members of the team

The role will mean you will interface with most departments across the business and all levels of the business to ensure there is complete understanding of compliance processes.
