Marketing Automation Developer

The job in a nutshell

We have an exciting role of Marketing Automation Developer where the primary role is to execute the marketing automation strategy, developing and scripting the technical implementation of the marketing campaign strategy across relevant channels and platforms.

The successful candidate will also document and analyse the performance of the respective platforms/campaigns and recommend improvements for optimisation and return of investment (ROI) and other business targets.

Skills and experience you’ll need to have

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level and have a proven background in this field. 

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in HTML coding on email and web.
  • Proven experience in SQL coding (or equivalent).
  • Some experience in building automated solutions is advantageous.
  • A solid understanding of customer relationship management (CRM) and web-based channels
  • Experience of using a CRM system and analytical packages
  • Experience in the development of campaign strategy implementation
  • Experience in analysing reporting and performance. Using results, analysis techniques and spotting trends in data to assess campaign performance and able to offer recommendations and act on them. 
  • Experience of working with customer data, campaign rules and delivering creative content.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Supports the implementation of campaign rules and logic, any modelling requirements and data feeds into the relevant CRM Platforms. Experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud is advantageous.
  • Develops and delivers the automation capability across multiple campaigns, channels and product areas to allow for campaign optimisation and an effective customer journey.
  • Reviews and contributes to a consistent end-to-end customer experience across all products and channels ensuring all marketing activities comply with FCA and business control processes.
  • Assists in developing campaign strategies to improve ROI.
  • Ensures all change processes are tested correctly, communicated efficiently and delivered successfully.

Who you’ll be working with

  • Works closely with all channels within Marketing and other product teams to deliver an automated strategy effectively so the marketing automation strategy maintains alignment with business priorities.
  • Liaises with 3rd party partners to monitor and support relevant platforms and their performance.
  • Ensures use and access to data is compliant, upheld to GDPR standards and that the relevant platforms are functioning at their optimum level.
