Information Security Manager

Job Purpose

Ensures secure operation and administration of the company’s networks, servers, workstations and security systems to keep customer and corporate data secure whilst ensuring regulatory compliance.

 

Key Experience & Skills

  • CISSP or equivalent qualification
  • Extensive knowledge of working within the Data Protection Act requirements, ISO27001, PCIDSS or similar environment and understanding of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • Extensive Knowledge of Security Information Event Management and behavioral analysis
  • Extensive Knowledge of Financial Conduct Authority regulations in respect of data and security
  • Understanding of Microsoft development environments and web-based applications and working within an Agile environment
  • Extensive Knowledge of hosted, Cloud based infrastructure, services and security services
  • Online/digital/direct-to-consumer industry experience
  • Understanding of commerciality of products and services and working within an Agile development environment

Key Accountabilities

  • Evaluates and recommends software and hardware initiatives in order to continuously improve the security of the organisation’s systems and practices
  • Manages and chairs the Information Security Forum to ensure security risks and incidents are reported appropriately
  • Provides advice to areas of the business to ensure the technical and physical aspects of the organisation’s network and infrastructure are secured appropriately
  • Coordinates the Website Disaster Recovery plan
  • Advises the business and Tech on security elements of all change initiatives and projects
  • Manages all aspects of Security testing for the organisation
  • Manages security incidents across the business
  • Creates and monitors compliance of security related policies across the company

Key Interfaces

  • Liaises with the business on emerging technology, tools and methodology
  • Assists Head of IT & Data Engineering to ensure development and change meets required security standards
  • Liaises with Legal, Compliance and Human Resources on regulatory matters to ensure adherence
  • Keeps Senior Leadership forum informed of security threats and breaches
  • Reviews external partners and suppliers for delivery of audits and tests to ensure the services they deliver meet the organisation’s security and regulatory requirements
